That all sounds like therapy - I am a coach!

So far, EFT has been used primarily for issues that traditionally suggest a need for "therapy" - for example phobias, PSTD, trauma and so on. As such, EFT is the majority of commonly utilized by psychotherapists, counsellors, hypnotherapists and other medical practitioners for example doctors, nurses, acupuncturists and so on.

However EFT isn't "therapy". It does not require any analysis of the customer's issue. And it can be self-applied.

And EFT is being increasingly acknowledged and used in more everyday settings which would not be classed as "therapy" at all. For instance:

Performance - Improving golf scores or batting averages.

Education - Learning new skills faster.

Self-belief - Identifying and dropping limiting beliefs and expanding what is possible.

Insights and Problem solving - Accelerating the course of generating ideas and finding creative solutions.

Preparing for important events - For example exams, important business meetings, presentations and promotions.

All these are coaching applications!

And more and more pioneering coaches are creating EFT a regular part of their coaching practice. Attempt a internet search on keywords "EFT" and "coaching" and see how a lot outcomes come back.

The EFT Coach examines the ethical issues around "therapy" and coaching in considerable depth. It offers practical suggestions and a strong framework of principles for using EFT as a coaching tool.

Only as NLP has proven itself to be an nearly standard tool for coaching, even though it can also be utilized for much deeper "therapy" work, so can EFT be utilized in the service of legitimate coaching goals. The EFT Coach begins the course of creating EFT a standard coaching tool, only as NLP has been for a lot years.

The Yes/No commitment pattern addresses this dilemma directly, creating it easier for your customer to commit and stay committed.

The The Two Of Us Pattern - The majority of significant change in a customer's life will involve the individuals around them. And customers often anticipate the reactions of others prior to they even make the change, perhaps creating other individuals a reason not to adjust at all. The The Two Of Us pattern offers a technique to release these blocks to adjust, while fully accepting the presence and needs of others involved. It's also directly helpful in any sort of coaching where relationships are at the heart of the customer's goals, for example private or business issues.

The Non-Judgement Pattern - A key element of coaching is to steer clear of any judgement about what the customer thinks or says. The Non-Judgement pattern enables EFT to be utilized in a way which makes no judgement about whether the issue being looked at is even a dilemma. The aim isn't necessarily to release anything - however enables exploration of insights around goals, values and beliefs, with no creating any assumptions regarding the outcome.

The Universal Belief Antidote Pattern - This pattern offers a way of starting to manage ANY belief that has been identified as being an obstacle to a goal, however with no needing to delve into the source of the belief itself.
